My nasal bridge, nasal tip, and overall line are all okay, but my bulbous nose wasn’t corrected, so I’m looking into revision surgery. (For my first surgery, I had silicone + septal cartilage + Medpor.) I’ve had consultations at 3 places so far, and the plans are all different.. The last clinic even said they don’t recommend surgery....... A Silicone replacement + donated costal cartilage 1 + reuse existing septal cartilage + bulbous nose/columella correction Alar reduction not recommended They recommend donated costal cartilage more (my nose condition isn’t severe enough to use autologous costal cartilage) They said my nasal tip cartilage is spread out, so if they suture the cartilage together and raise the nasal tip higher than now, my nose will look slimmer B Silicone replacement + donated costal cartilage 2 or autologous costal cartilage + ear cartilage + bulbous nose correction + alar reduction They recommended autologous costal cartilage more and didn’t mention the nasolabial angle They said they couldn’t do much alar reduction, but suggested doing it slightly C Silicone replacement + donated costal cartilage 2 or autologous costal cartilage + ear cartilage + bulbous nose/columella correction + alar reduction not recommended They recommended autologous costal cartilage more Cannot reuse septal cartilage If the goal is bulbous nose correction, they do not recommend surgery (It’s not a nose that needs alar reduction, and the nasal ala/tip area isn’t that large, so raising the nasal tip may have a slight effect on correcting the bulbous nose, but not a major effect) But my nose is seriously puffy, so when they said they don’t recommend surgery, I had a mental breakdown. What would everyone do? Sigh.... Should I not do it... I still have two more consultations left, though
