I had short-chin surgery with silicone in early October last year. Even now, should I call it a foreign-body sensation~ It doesn’t hurt, but when I talk it’s so uncomfortable, it bothers me, and it’s irritating. After surgery, my mouth shape doesn’t look protruded, so I’m fairly satisfied with that. I’ve heard so many times that my mouth protrudes But they said short-chin surgery is something where you have a foreign-body sensation at first and it gradually goes away, so I’ve been enduring it. But for me, even after 3–4 months, it hasn’t gone away at all from how it was at first, and if I open my mouth wide or eat something like a lettuce wrap, the next day the foreign-body sensation feels even more severe. I went to the hospital where I had surgery and consulted with the doctor, too, but he kept saying things like cases like mine are almost nonexistent, and that the foreign-body sensation might be something I’m feeling alone because I’m sensitive. I’m so uncomfortable because of the foreign-body sensation, so I asked if there was no way to get rid of it and said I couldn’t live like this. The doctor said the only method is removal, and if it’s removed, my old face will come back. He also said my case was the first, and if the foreign-body sensation is severe and there are many issues, this kind of surgery should disappear, and things like that. He said it can take longer for people with weak tissue quality, so let’s wait a bit more, and I’ve waited until now, but it’s still exactly the same. I’m too scared to have it removed again, and living like this is too uncomfortable. What should I do? If I keep waiting, will it go away?? It’s so, so hard
