Nose Surgery@rhino

Review of V

1. A surgical material that was not mentioned beforehand (mesh) was used (I said I did not want artificial materials, and they said they would only use ear cartilage) (The surgery had been delayed, so maybe there was confusion.. The coordinator mistakenly relayed to the operating room that silicone would be used)

2. The prescription was omitted (At my next visit, I went into the hospital crying because I was in pain, and when I asked for some medicine, they were surprised and only then realized it had been omitted) (Maybe because of this..? I had a fever for 3 days, and bleeding that should have stopped within two days continued for a week) (When receiving the medicine, I said I had a fever, but they just said yes~ and took no action)

3. Even though my condition was like that, there was no postoperative follow-up consultation with the director (After all the scheduled visits were over, I later found out the wrong surgical material had been used.. After filing a complaint, I had a consultation with the director and heard an explanation about the progress then **But even that was different from what I was told after showing my surgical records to another hospital.. I don’t know who is right)

4. After surgery, I had to come back to the hospital to have the internal nasal splint removed, but the front desk said everything had been removed and that I didn’t need to come anymore (I asked twice and the front desk said that was the case; when I asked them to check with the treatment room once, they checked and said they had been mistaken)

5. I also had surgery for a deviated nasal septum, but they said they normally do not take a nasal CT after surgery and told me to go to another hospital to get it done > At another hospital, I received an opinion that revision surgery was needed because the deviation was severe enough that breathing might not be smooth In reality, my breathing has not improved… that was the saddest part

Personally, my trust in the coordinator, front desk staff, and director dropped a lot When I went for a consultation after filing a complaint, there was no apology or refund I may seem like a pushover, but I don’t want to be involved with them anymore, and I don’t want to have revision surgery here.. I didn’t even ask about A/S Maybe because they have many patients, there were many mistakes, and I felt like proper care was not being provided. It feels like a factory-style hospital.
