Hello~~ On February 28 I had standard epicanthoplasty haha I am not sure whether it was standard epicanthoplasty, but I remember about 3~4 stitches sewn with thread toward the front of the under-eye aegyo-sal were visible on the outside, so I think it was probably standard epicanthoplasty Left side: epicanthoplasty + one buried-suture stitch Right side: epicanthoplasty That is what I had done When I first came back from surgery, it really hurt so much^^.. I will skip that part After the surgery, once the stitches were removed, I honestly wondered where in the world there could be a monster like this The left side, where I had buried-suture double eyelid + epicanthoplasty, definitely took longer for the swelling to go down, and the wound also healed much more slowly... The right side, where I only had epicanthoplasty, had swelling go down quickly and the wound healed relatively quickly too.. After epicanthoplasty, from day 3 it became a little bearable, so I lightly dabbed it with an alcohol swab Really gently... once after waking up in the morning and once before going to bed at night.. (But I think this method could cause inflammation or scarring, so I hope you do not do it;; ) And I applied antibiotic ointment (Terramycin) frequently I did that until day 20 (until the antibiotic ointment ran out..) Then I bought a small scar ointment and applied it from day 20 to day 30 (also until the ointment ran out...) Since antibiotic ointment is prescribed by the hospital and they tell you to apply it, I think it is right to use it all As for scar ointment, I think you probably do not necessarily have to use it... Until exactly day 60, it was so, so distressing I looked in the mirror every day... The shape turned out really pretty The distance between my inner corners was about 4.2 cm, and they opened each side by about 2 mm, and it turned out round My eyes also got bigger.. The problem was the scars ㅜㅜ The marks where the stitches were removed remained bumpy just as they were! On top of that, the red wounds gradually turned dark ㅜㅜ They would turn dark, then after washing my face they would become red ㅜㅜ They really could not be covered even with makeup.. Even after applying foundation and eyeshadow, they would not be covered.. Because they were bumpy, when I applied light-colored eyeshadow, the bumpy areas stood out even more Among people posting photo reviews in this community, there was no one as severe as me hahahaha And in question posts or review posts, it seemed like there was no one with a case like mine; If it were only red, I could bear it, but the stitch-removal marks turned dark and were bumpy, so it was really unbearable.. Because of circumstances, I could not go outside, and I just sat at the desk in front of my house every day.. I kept looking in the mirror all the time.. ㅜㅜ Still, I endured it and decided to wait just 3 months, and if it did not improve, I would go to the hospital and at least get scar injections That was the mindset I endured with; But I was also too lazy to even call the hospital once, and just lived while worrying about it ㅜ Now it is exactly day 79 after surgery.. With magic epicanthoplasty, some people seem to recover quite a bit after only a month, but for me, it really started improving around day 60 The bumpy areas visibly flattened, and the dark areas also visibly became lighter... It gets better day by day And if you walk around outside a lot, it improves more Please take lots of walks... These days, when I am bare-faced, it still remains as a very faint brown, but all the bumpy areas have gone down ^^ Now it can be covered completely with makeup.. It is getting better every day, so by around day 90, I think it will all settle down.. haha And the double eyelid on my left eye, where I said I had one buried-suture stitch, has also improved a lot and is now fully settled For the eye done with buried sutures too, I think it became okay after about 70 days ㅜㅜ Recovery speed is different for everyone... Even though I only had one buried-suture stitch, it took 70 days to settle, and the epicanthoplasty is almost healed, but even now on day 79, it is still ongoing; In case anyone is worried after having standard epicanthoplasty, I am leaving this post to say I think you do not need to worry I think the answer is to watch it as calmly as possible for 6 months.. ㅜㅜ + The part at the front of the eye where the epicanthoplasty area slightly reattaches and turns into a white scar.. Mine also protruded white (almost like a keloid..) so I worried a lot, but this also, at around 70 days, started to return to normal as the white scar gradually sank in like normal skin ^^
