I had non-incisional double eyelid surgery 15 years ago, but my left eye came undone, so 3 years ago, I had it done again with a partial incision, but recently my left eye came undone again, so I went for consultations. In my own judgment, I thought it came undone because the fat in my eyelid had sunken in, causing multiple eyelid creases to form. Anyway, since I work in Busan, I went for consultations at three places: ㄷㅁ/ㄴㅅㅌㅇ/ㅇㅇㅂ. All three were single-doctor clinics, so there was only one doctor, the director, at each clinic.
ㄷㅁ: The consultation manager was kind and had a cheerful vibe? haha She made the consultation feel pleasant. She explained things in detail. Just as I had felt, she said it seemed to have come undone because I lacked eyelid fat, and that the director would probably create an incisional in-out line for me. The director was the confident type, so I trusted him, and he clearly told me what was possible and what was not. He also showed me a lot of before-and-after photos of similar cases (eyelid fat grafting), which I liked. He also paid attention to delicate details. For example, he suggested scheduling the surgery in the afternoon because the eyelid swelling would have gone down by then. The method was incision + fat grafting, and the cost, including the fat grafting fee, was in the middle among the three clinics.
ㄴㅅㅌㅇ: Here too, both the consultation manager and the director explained things calmly and well, but the cost was the most expensive, so I’m not really considering it. Like ㄷㅁ, they said it looked like I lacked eyelid fat, and although they would have to open it up to know for sure, they said they would resolve it through eyelid fat repositioning, and if there was not enough fat, they would proceed with grafting. The method was incision/ptosis correction.
ㅇㅇㅂ: Here, both the consultation manager and the director were a bit shy...? The atmosphere was calm. Compared to the other clinics, the director felt like he didn’t really give definite answers? Rather than answering with certainty, he spoke in a way that seemed unconfident, but I think that’s just his personality ;; Other reviews said the same. Skill matters the most, after all... Anyway, at ㅇㅇㅂ, the consultation manager had received eye surgery from the director herself, so she showed me her own photos. I liked the lines in the review photos. The director recommended a partial incision, and if I had no dissatisfaction with my right eye, I could just do one eye, which was the cheapest option. However, he said my right eye line is slightly an out-line, but the left eye can only be done as an in-out line. If I do both eyes, he said an in-out line would require epicanthoplasty, and for an out-line, only the left eye would need an upper canthoplasty. There was no separate mention here about fat, and I liked that the cost would be low if I only did one eye. Since it would be non-incisional, I think the swelling would go down faster than with an incision too.
My membership level is low, so I can’t check comments. I’m just writing this as a reference for anyone living in Busan who is planning a third revision surgery.
