Right after surgery, I felt overwhelmed wondering when all the swelling would go down and how I was supposed to wait it out, but now that I think it has already been a year since the surgery, time really seems to have flown by lol For me, my hump nose was personally such a big complex that I decided to get nose surgery, and before that, I had been somehow hiding the hump with threads and filler... For the first few months, I was completely satisfied with that too, but as time went on, the nasal dorsum became bumpy and looked much more sunken than at first, so I started thinking surgery was the only answer. The shape I wanted was a straight(?) nose with just the nasal tip slightly lifted, and I told the director exactly that during the consultation and showed photos too. It was decided that I would get 2 mm silicone for the nasal bridge, and 4 mm for the nasal tip using septal cartilage + ear cartilage. For a few weeks after surgery, I honestly felt like I looked exactly like Pinocchio and wondered if this could possibly be the final result, but it was just residual swelling that had not gone down yet, and as time passed, it gradually settled and became more natural. Strangely, from the beginning I barely had any bruising or major swelling... even I found it so fascinating.. Still, the residual swelling was concentrated around the nasal tip, so I went walking outside every day to reduce it. It was summer then, just like now, but I still put on a mask somehow and went out to walk. (I almost died from the heat though) I did buy pumpkin juice and drink it too, but I’m not really sure whether it had a big effect.. I think walking around as much as possible is really the best thing After removing the splint, for the sebum and oil that had been trapped underneath it, I watched YouTube and, like other people did, cleansed first and then rubbed with peeling gel (really hard) to get rid of it. After about two months, the swelling that was noticeably visible to the eye was almost all gone, and when I touched my nose, that foreign feeling like it wasn’t my own nose disappeared. It just felt like touching my own nose? By around then, even if I brushed against the nasal tip, it didn’t hurt much. Right after surgery, during the splint period, even touching my nose a little hurt so much People around me also told me a lot that the surgery turned out well, so I got excited and took lots of photos lol Before, I absolutely never took side-profile photos, but now I feel like my side profile actually comes out prettier than the front view haha Anyway, whenever I see my old nose, I keep thinking, how on earth did I live with that nose back then...
