My nose was crooked with a dorsal hump, and my face is also asymmetric.. I had an open approach, nasal bone osteotomy, hump reduction, and a 1 mm silicone implant, and the nasal tip was done with septal cartilage.. But the doctor said my nose still wasn’t pretty even after surgery, and said it might be scar tissue, so we should keep monitoring it.. Then today, at the 6-month mark.. he told me I should have revision surgery. Other people also say it looks natural when seen from the left, but from the right, the silicone bridge implant is noticeable..ㅠㅠ According to the doctor, the surgery would only take about 10 minutes, the swelling would go down in a week, and it is a really simple surgery.. But after reading reviews from people who had revision surgery, it doesn’t seem that simple..ㅜㅜ Because my nose is crooked, he inserted the upper part of the silicone slightly toward the right, and he said that seems to be why it looks that way. He wants to take out only the silicone, trim it, and put it back in. I scheduled the surgery for the evening of the 24th.. But I have to go to school a week later, and no matter how simple the surgery is, I still need sedation anesthesia and have to take antibiotics for a week;;; Will all the swelling go down in a week? The hospital says revision surgery is simpler, but after reading reviews, people say things like more scar tissue forms;; or that they regret it more..ㅠㅠ I’m worried. If I just live without revision surgery, something feels unsatisfying.. If I do it, I’m scared.. and I have to go to school tooㅠㅠㅠ... sigh If anyone has had revision surgery, please let me know how long the swelling lasts.
