I had 5 mm alar reduction done and I'm satisfied. I woke up after sedation anesthesia and the surgery was already over. It was done with an incision, and the scar from the incision settled down after a month. My nostrils were originally uneven, but after the doctor consulted with me, he adjusted them to the same size and performed the surgery! I don't know about other surgeries, but alar reduction seems pretty good.
