<Current, week 2><Before surgery><Immediately after surgery><Swelling on day 7><Morning of week 2><Evening of week 2> I was usually a bit dissatisfied with the stuffy-looking inner corners of my eyes and my thin double-eyelid line, so I made up my mind and went for consultations for revision surgery. I had consultations and quotes at a total of three places, and Director Kim Joo-ho at Custom Plastic Surgery consulted with me more confidently than the other clinics. I also liked that he did not push excessive procedures. If I tried to be even a little greedy, he would tell me it would be better not to go that far. I liked that he consulted with me so I could look as pretty as possible within the range possible for my original eyes, and although the price was high because it was revision surgery, there were many events that could be applied immediately in July, so I received a more reasonable quote than at other clinics and booked surgery for that very week! Before surgery, I had another detailed consultation with the director. I was put to sleep with sedation anesthesia, local anesthesia was applied to my eyes, and then I was woken up and the surgery proceeded. Because I had canthoplasty in both the front and back, the surgery took a really long time. Around the time the anesthesia was wearing off, I was sedated once more and additional local anesthesia was administered, so the surgery proceeded without pain until the end. From immediately after surgery, the swelling and bruising were quite severe. The next day, the swelling became much worse and the bruising also became severe. The conjunctival edema that comes with lateral/lower canthoplasty also became severe.. Until day 4 after surgery, I worked really hard doing cold compresses all day so the major swelling would go down. From day 5, I kept doing cold compresses during the day and warm compresses at night to help the bruising fade, and by around days 8-9, almost all of the bruising was gone. As for the swelling, the major swelling has gone down, but they said I should expect the minor swelling to take six months to a year to fully subside. They said it looks different at 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, and 6 months, but since I’m only at week 2, I’m going to wait a little longer. I’m hoping the swelling goes down nicely, and I plan to walk as much as possible!
