I thought swelling from double eyelid surgery would definitely last for several months, so I kept putting it off for a long time, but once I hit week 3, all the swelling was gone. I did a semi-out line, and I already had double eyelids and eyes without much fat, but if you're putting it off because you're worried about swelling like I was, try it!! I did it because I was worried that my double eyelid would sometimes come undone, and even though I didn't really do warm/cold compresses well, it looks really natural now, so I'm satisfied~~
