Double Eyelid Consultation Scouting Review: 6

I have a barely visible inner double-fold and, since it was my first surgery, I wanted to add only a double eyelid so it would feel more like my own eyes I don’t think I was fully ready to take on someone else’s eye shape; I guess not;;; My criteria for choosing a hospital were: the surgeon should be around 3 or fewer, the before/after photos should at least somewhat match my taste, plus a few recommendations from people I know and about 20 from this community.... I visited 8, and in the end 6 ended up with successful consultations. I couldn’t ask many things, but I’ll at least write what I can. 1. ㄱㄹㄷ(ㅡㅣㅏ) / ㅇㅁㅊ Consultation fee: 10,000 KRW Consultation time: About 30 minutes. I arrived early, got in on time, and was seen for around 30 minutes. Contents: I told the coordinator briefly what I wanted and went straight to the doctor consultation. Very thorough—he checked in detail and explained what was wrong in my eyes and why a double eyelid might not work, etc... Seriously, how does this happen?? It becomes like this The proposed line was acceptable; they recommended upper edge + double eyelid + canthal correction. If you dislike it, they suggested only double eyelid + canthal correction with in-fold. Price was the cheapest, probably because of a current event. A/S: within 1 year. Suture removal checked on day 3. I couldn’t ask about anesthesia But the website looked like they had an anesthesiology doctor. 2. ㅇㅇㅍ /ㄱㅊㅁ Consultation fee: 10,000 KRW Consultation time: I arrived on time, waited nearly 1 hour 15 minutes. Consultation itself was a little over 30 minutes. Contents: 10 minutes with coordinator, then doctor consultation. The doctor was very meticulous, redrawing the line again and again. Recommended it to be a little thinner; if later I care about the upper fold, we can address it then. A/S: 2 years. Anesthesia done directly by the doctor. Unlimited swelling-reduction laser. 3.ㅇㅇㄴㅋ / ㅇㅎㅇ Consultation fee: maybe there wasn’t one? maybe there was, I can’t remember. I got a bit dazed from this point. Consultation time: 40 min wait + 5 min with doctor + almost 1 hour with coordinator. They told me to ask questions, but I went blank and couldn’t ask even one, so the doctor consultation ended... When they ask “Any questions?” it somehow feels like magic that removes the questions. Contents: recommended double eyelid + upper fold correction. This place had no discount, so the price seemed higher than others. But if others don’t give discounts either, this is roughly the same level. I liked the marked line; they showed eyes that looked somewhat similar to mine, and it didn’t look bad. They said themselves that it is a specialized double eyelid hospital. There isn’t a single doctor running everything, maybe that’s why the clinic felt bigger. There is CCTV, they said. A/S 2 years; upper-fold correction is 1 year Sutures removed after check on day 3. I forgot to ask about anesthesia care. 4. ㅇㄹ(ㅗㄹㅗ) Consultation fee: none Consultation time: 30 min wait + coordinator consult (5 min) + doctor consult I’m not sure how long I waited for the doctor; it felt about 15 min. Then price consultation again, and it ended. Total seems to have taken within about 1.5 hours. Contents: recommended upper + upper fold + buried stitch (in-fold) I visited because a friend said they had consulted here, and the line itself looked clearly good. But it gave me the vibe of wanting to be a bit flashy—might be just my impression. It showed an expected after-photo using a Photoshop-style preview in a program, which was actually helpful for visualization. CCTV present. A/S 3 years. Price was similar, but there weren’t many discounts. They provided swelling management laser. Anesthesia department exists. 5. ㅇㅇㅅㅊㄷ(ㅣㅔㅅ) / ㅇㅈㅎ Consultation fee: none Consultation time: waited just under 30 min, doctor consult around 10 min Contents: recommended double eyelid + upper fold correction. The doctor seemed confident?... He used casual speech a lot, lol. When I asked about the surgical method, he said that kind of detail is basically sales talk, which made me a little flustered. I liked the marked line. He pinned it with two matchsticks, then said it would come out like this. 🙂 For the before photo, they showed an eye somewhat similar to mine, and it was the best of all the before eyes they showed me that would fit mine, lol Unlimited swelling management and scar-management laser. He said he would give full 1:1 care. 6. ㅋㅅㅌ Consultation fee: from what I remember, none Consultation time: basically could consult almost immediately after arriving; doctor consultation about 10 min, then about 15 min with coordinator Contents: upper fold + double eyelid (canthal correction optional) The line they marked was not very liked by me at all, but they said it can be adjusted again before surgery. I asked about side effects of canthal correction; they said no side effects. Is that really true? I didn’t know, so I came out wondering. Price is similar to other places. Checks: 3 times in the 1st-month period + at 6 months. Swelling management possible; scar treatment and scar injections. A/S 1 year. CCTV: yes. Anesthesia is done by the doctor. I actually went to ㅌㅂ and ㅇㄴ too, but both had too long waits, so I couldn’t get in and ended up going elsewhere... If you’re going, book with at least a 2-hour margin. I’ve already had one double eyelid surgery elsewhere, but I got a lot of help from this community, so I posted this too
