I had a consultation, and they said septal cartilage can work too, but if you want it to be sturdy, they recommended rib cartilage. It doesn’t feel like a scam. It’s a very well-known nose surgery hospital, not like a factory or a large chain. The only thing that stops me is the scar left on the rib side. Still, I don’t want donated cartilage, so if I’m going to use it anyway, isn’t autologous costal cartilage better? What should I do? Even if I’m not fully satisfied with the result, since it’s not septal cartilage and is supposedly stronger, maybe it’s autologous costal cartilage? My skin is on the thicker side, so I don’t think it’ll become hard or anything.

유맥나 Did you ask how long the rib length would be? I also had autologous costal cartilage in my first surgery at a clinic and I asked about everything, like rib length and whether chest laser is included. They gave it for free, so I got it a few times and it did help.

신훈스 Choosing the material is most important by yourself, so if you don’t feel okay with it, you may end up looking around more and making a different decision. For me, I’d have to use rib wherever I go, so ^^.. like everyone who’s uneasy like this, instead of using donated cartilage, I made an appointment to do autologous costal cartilage. I’m not really sensitive to scars, so that’s not the reason. Think it over carefully.
