Done clinic-hopping for under-eye fat repositioning! Torn between two places..

I had consultations at both, and I didn’t like either. Right Hand wasn’t great because recovery takes a long time and it uses external fixation.. Hanmi wasn’t great because the doctor’s personality seemed strange and I felt like aftercare/revision wouldn’t be possible

[@HJJE] But I don’t get what exactly they’re fixing in place.. They open the fat pocket and flatten it out, and even if they don’t fix it, it’s not like it just moves somewhere else. ㅇㅇㅅ says all kinds of flashy things like fixing an entire blood vessel in place.. or dissecting somewhere around the eye skin.. What’s good about dissection? Isn’t sagging after facial contouring caused by dissection? I had under-eye fat repositioning and also had full-face fat grafting, and even without anything like fixation during fat grafting, the fat stays in that spot.. lol I also had under-eye fat repositioning done with dissolvable sutures and had no problems at all.

[@고양이웨이브] Ah.. I heard they open the pocket, move the fat inside downward, and fix that in place.. But now that you mention dissection in facial contouring, that also sounds right.. They did say they use the same dissolvable sutures.. But hearing this makes me hesitate a bit again..

I’m 2 weeks post-op at ㅇㅇㅅ, but honestly... I’m still not sure. I also chose it based only on stability without fat grafting and trusted the director, but I’ll know once more swelling goes down. For now, I still have some troughs left... I don’t feel like there’s a big difference from before. It’s a bit awkward for someone only 2 weeks out to judge, but... just in case, I’ve already looked into revision hospitals in advance

I just looked in the mirror again, and the line does seem a bit lighter than yesterday. But since there’s nothing I can do right now anyway, I’m just in waiting mode Rather than calling it revision, Right Hand did do the repositioning properly in the traditional way... so if the line near the aegyo area still hasn’t gone away after a few months, or if I’m not satisfied with the current trough situation... I might go to a place that’s good at fat grafting...

Wow, you really worked hard going clinic-hopping. I’ve only been to one place so far I should go around diligently too What’s the reason you don’t want fat grafting???

I went to Olheunson too, and when I told them what other hospitals had said during consultations, he got extremely angry... It seemed like he takes pride in doing the traditional surgical method(?) They say a second consultation costs 100,000 won or something. So did you book the surgery then?

It’s not for my under-eye area, but I’m thinking of getting my mom’s eyes done.. How was the atmosphere at Iris and Hambangnun hospitals?? In terms of the doctor and the staff’s service,,!

[@하트크롬밈] Aha! At both Iris and Hambangnun, the doctors were really nice! Especially Hambangnun seemed to do a lot of cases mainly for middle-aged patients! They said their mother, I think, had surgery there directly too lol. The consultation manager at Iris felt a bit stiff, and the doctor was the warm type? It felt comfortable! The consultation manager at Hambangnun also felt exactly in the middle, not unfriendly but not especially kind either, more like only saying what was necessary, and the doctor explained things in detail and kindly answered everything when I asked questions! That’s about what I remember! Hope it helps a bit!

How was the director at Hanmi?? I am not looking into under-eye fat repositioning, but my mom's eyes, and I am wondering what the director is like..

He said he could definitely do it well and promised, and he emphasized the word "promise" a lot!ㅌㅋㅋㅋ That was a bit funny, but anyway, he seemed like someone with a lot of pride and very high confidence! It looked like he also does a lot of surgeries for middle-aged people! It would be good to get a consultation once!

Did you decide where to do it? I am worrying about something similar too.

Could I ask where you did it and how it is now? I am also deciding between Olheunson and Hanmi.. Olheunson does not have many reviews, and I also see posts saying it came undone. Hanmi's consultation was really not good, but there are also many evaluations saying the results turned out well.. I wonder if I should do it somewhere else entirely.. My mind keeps going back and forth.

You really did your homework on the consultations. I didn’t even know what I was supposed to ask, so I just literally went and came back... Was there any place you’d recommend for someone whose main issue is under-eye hollowness...? I’m still working hard on in-person and online research, but since this would be my very first surgery, I really don’t know
