Whether it’s donor or autologous, if you don’t use rib cartilage, there’s no helping the nasal tip dropping, right??? It’s just the natural order of things, right? With gravity and time passing? It’s my first nose surgery and I’m seriously going crazy. I have a thick-skinned bulbous nose, and they only recommend septal cartilage + silicone + ear cartilage, so it feels like doctors are just saying it lightly to make money. I’m getting obsessive thoughts at dawn. If they open the nose two or three times, it’s definitely a benefit for them anyway. Honestly, autologous costal cartilage feels like a lot, including the surgery cost. Would looking into donor rib cartilage be more realistic?
커먼비말럽 They say that if you use ear cartilage and septal cartilage, it will definitely drop later So I was going to do implant-free rhinoplasty with those materials too, but I have absolutely no intention of having revision surgery later, so I might not do it
Lililu It does get absorbed..
nonotnever That’s why I made a reservation to do my first surgery with donor rib cartilage too.. But they say even donor rib cartilage absorption varies from person to person, so I’m worried again
wwtree [@nonotnever] Donor rib cartilage gets absorbed too? Ugh
익명 I used septal cartilage and ear cartilage and did implant-free rhinoplasty 6 months ago, and my nose hasn’t dropped and is still holding. But mine looks too obvious, so I’m really hoping it drops, but it won’t I think it varies by person
wwtree [@] One year is still swelling, so..
wwtree [@] It will drop. Seriously, they say you have to watch it until 1 year. Everyone around me who had it done was like that There seem to be even more people worrying because it dropped too much..
익명 [@wwtree] Then will it get a lot lower than now..? I’m really stressed because anyone can tell I had nose surgery. I’m thinking of lowering it with revision surgery
