I had a failed lateral canthoplasty and developed side effects of pinching and a fixed feeling. So I really thought a lot and agonized over the hospital before deciding, and I went here for a consultation. During the consultation, they were so confident and said it was not a difficult case, so I trusted them and had the surgery. I wish they had rather told me not to do it, so I could have done it somewhere else. My eye shape from the lateral canthoplasty was not that severe, and I had side effects because of the ligament fixation, so I wanted to improve that. Thinking about it now, I feel like they did not even listen to that properly and just thought the eye shape looked easy to restore, so they said it was totally possible. Even before going into surgery, I do not think they looked at the chart from the consultation, and they just drew on my eyes and went straight into surgery. After surgery, the scar was left very severely, and in one eye, the mucous membrane that had been fine was flipped outward. The red tissue on the inner side of the lower eyelid became everted and visible. And the pinching did not improve at all; it got worse. The scar stressed me out so much that I got a triamcinolone injection at a local dermatology clinic. Why did I go to dermatology instead of here? Because I live outside Seoul, and to go here I have to use up a whole day and spend 100,000 won on transportation. Who would waste a whole day and spend 100,000 won going to a plastic surgery clinic just to get a 10,000 won injection? Anyway, even after the injection, the scar was severe and the pinching was also too severe. So at 2 months, I went to the hospital, and they got extremely angry and scolded me, asking why I got an injection at a dermatology clinic without their permission. I was sure that the pinching and indentation were not a skin problem but a fixation problem, but they just got angry, saying the skin had sunken because of the injection. Compared with before restoration, after getting restoration here, the fixed feeling became even worse and the pinching also became worse. People who have not experienced it do not know. That feeling of the ligament being pulled. The indentation at the outer corner of the eye was also severe, and it felt like they had pulled the ligament so much that the flesh sank in. They said they would inject filler to fill in the sunken areaㅋㅋ They should remove the thread or solve the root problem with revision surgery. Does that even make sense? Anyway, I got cursed at like crazy and got laser treatment, but the laser was applied to bare skin without scars, all my eyelashes were burned, and after paying 3.3 million won, I had a huge reality check wondering why I had to go through this. People living in Seoul would not know. But if you live in the provinces, consultation-surgery-suture removal-follow-up means going 4 times, so transportation alone is 400,000 won, and you have to take 4 days of annual leave. If you count a day’s pay as 100,000 won, that means spending 800,000 won more. They do not consider any of that, and do you think it is right to shout and get angry at a patient who trusted them with surgery just because the patient got an injection at a dermatology clinic? I had restoration to resolve side effects, but I only spent money, the side effects got worse, and I ended up with scars everywhere. So in the end, just 3 months after the restoration, I went to another hospital, had my eye incised, and had the thread removed. After removing the thread, the pinching improved and the fixed feeling disappeared. I trusted it and went because it was being promoted in a group chat, but I do not care whether those people saying crap like “they are good here” are brokers from a rear canthoplasty chatroom or not, when they have not actually had surgery here and have not even seen an acquaintance who had it done. Not only this hospital, but all the people who go around recommending things like that when they know nothing, I hope they all get punished by heaven and their plastic surgery gets ruined.
