They took a CT scan and did the consultation, but the doctor just looked at my face, listed off the plan names for what should be done, and asked if I had any questions. If I didn’t ask, there wasn’t even a detailed explanation of how the surgery would be performed, and the doctor didn’t even look at the CT scan, just said donated rib cartilage could be used. The doctor seems to like a dramatic look, so even though it was my first surgery, it seemed like he was recommending rib cartilage. The director is very famous, and I went because of his skill, and he seemed full of confidence, but the consultation was way too short, under 3 minutes. It also felt like the surgery would be done however the director wanted rather than tailored to my needs, so I passed.
