I had cheekbone nonunion of 6 mm on the left and 5-6 mm on the right, so I looked into several hospitals and went around, but most hospitals turned me away, and I went there in a state of despair. Fortunately, the director said he wanted to operate and help the bones unite, and reassured me that it wasn't a difficult surgery, so I had the operation. The surgical result was corrected nicely and well, and now, about 3 months later, I'm waiting only for the bones to reattach. Even if the bones don't reattach, the fixation was done well, so it doesn't seem like there will be anything major to worry about going forward.
I didn't go in expecting my cheekbones to be greatly reduced, so I didn't have high expectations from the beginning, but the peanut-shaped hollowing improved, and other areas that I felt were problematic also improved. The director has a good personality, is kind like a neighborly older man, and feels humane.
