I had lower blepharoplasty, upper blepharoplasty, and fat grafting to my eyelids, and had the stitches removed today.. The swelling was very bad on days 2-3 after surgery, and this is after it has gone down, but the swelling and bruising are still severe. My skin is thin and delicate, so even if I bump it slightly, I tend to bruise very dark blue. Could that be affecting this? My family is asking if this is really okay and whether the line is too thick, but I also want to hear other people’s opinions. To me, it seems like the sunken eyelid drooping has improved, but I’m worried because my eyes seem smaller. Your eyes don’t become smaller after cosmetic surgery, right? I didn’t have major pain, but since I bruised a lot, I’ve been applying warm/cold compresses all day. They told me to take Tylenol if I had pain, but it wasn’t that bad, so I didn’t take any. Now that the stitches are out, the swelling should go down faster, right? For now, I’m not sure whether it seems okay or not.. I’m hoping that from this state, the swelling will go down, the bruises will disappear, and everything will settle into place. The director also said the surgery went well.. They said the scars are very clean. I’ll watch it until week 2 and post another update on my progress...
