Clinic review from a community

I went for a consultation in November 2023. At the time, it was often mentioned as a place specializing in revision surgery, so consultation bookings were competitive. I remember they took consultation reservations for that month on the 1st of every month, but I don't know what the reservation system is like now. There was no consultation fee! I called after the 1st, around the middle of that month, and maybe there had been a canceled consultation slot, because they scheduled me for a consultation a week later. My previous surgery history was incisional surgery, and I went for a consultation because my double eyelid had loosened, I was dissatisfied with the line, and I had asymmetry. Since it was famous as a revision-surgery clinic, the reviews looked natural, and because I'm an office worker, swelling was my biggest worry. But strangely, people who had surgery here didn't seem to have swelling after surgery? Seeing that they operated naturally and without much swelling, I thought they definitely seemed skilled, so I went for the consultation. But as soon as I entered the consultation room and sat down, they asked me why I wanted revision surgery hahaㅠ... When I told them what bothered me, they said that because it had loosened, it actually looked more natural, and even if I had surgery, there wouldn't be a big change; it would be a difference only I would notice. Lower your expectations! Is it right to do it when there won't be a meaningful change? Consider whether the cost and time spent on surgery would be worth it. After hearing that, I thought, ah, should I just not get revision surgery and live with it as is... + If I did it here, at least it probably wouldn't turn out badly, but since they weren't catching the parts I was dissatisfied with, I felt that even if I did it here, the change would be minimal, so I gave upㅠㅠ There were many reviews saying the consultation was unfriendly, so I was a bit worried too, but they weren't unfriendly or scary... I do think they were conscientious. Since they spoke as if revision surgery wouldn't really help, it felt awkward to ask anything more there. The estimate was 4.2 million won, and there were absolutely no same-day booking discounts, review discounts, acquaintance discounts, or anything like that... From reviews, I think I heard there was a cash discount, but I don't know whether they still offer a cash discount now. Maybe because this is a place where people with extremely difficult eyes who have gone through multiple revision surgeries come as a final destination, I don't think it's a place you go for aesthetic improvement. Looking at reviews, there are specific types of eyes that respond well. Since a lot of people with poor eye conditions come here, the director's standard for pretty eyes seems quite low... Unless it's something fairly severe, it feels like they just send people back. This place is good at preserving the existing line as it is and loosening deep double-eyelid fixation to make it shallower. Since they operate using the existing line, you have to give up on scar improvement. They tend to be conservative about skin excision, so they do not excise scars. Also, they don't do buried-suture procedures and only do incisional surgery. If your dissatisfaction is aesthetic, like wanting to revise the double-eyelid line / being unhappy with slight asymmetry / being bothered by scars, I think it would be better to go elsewhere. If you have sausage eyes with a high line and strong fixation / you've had so many revision surgeries that you want this to be your last one / you have the mindset that it just needs to get even a little better than the current state, then I recommend at least going for a consultation. I saw quite a few reviews posted now and then in revision-surgery communities, and for sausage eyes with deep, strong fixation, the effect really was dramatic. It was fascinating how very intense-looking eyes were lowered into natural inner double eyelids. This ended up getting really long as I wrote it^^... I hope it helps!
