Leaving an honest review 4 months after surgery. It was my first procedure/surgery, and among all things, facial bone surgery was such a big decision that I thought about it a lot. I went to consultations at about 4 places in total, and the last place I visited was Soda Plastic Surgery. I felt so sure about it that I paid and made a reservation on the same day. There were many reviews about Director Kwon Jae-hyun, so I went with high expectations, and after consulting with him in person, I understood why. He explained everything really thoroughly, and it didn’t feel like he was just giving a formal explanation, but like it came from his own experience. I trusted him. Honestly, the recovery process wasn’t easy. Especially the first week was hard, and for me, recovering from anesthesia was tougher than the surgery itself. It took a long time for the anesthesia to wear off, I couldn’t speak, and my throat pain was quite severe. (The surgery itself actually doesn’t hurt.) Still, I ate surprisingly well. I mostly ate soft foods and hardly went hungry. The diet effect I expected… didn’t happen haha I think swelling follows a similar pattern for most people. It gradually swells around days 3-4, and after that it slowly goes down. For those hesitating because of work, I recommend taking a week off if possible. If that’s difficult, even just 3-4 days off including the weekend should be enough to go about daily life if you wear a mask. By about week 2, it wasn’t noticeable, and in cases like mine where I only had square jaw surgery, I started to feel small changes after 1 month. It’s not a dramatic change, but the swelling is still continuing to go down, and I’m much more satisfied than if I hadn’t done it. More than anything, the surgery itself didn’t feel dangerous or scary at all. You just need to follow the recovery process well! However, for an important area like facial bones, I recommend deciding carefully. I’m personally satisfied with Soda Plastic Surgery because it’s already a proven place!
