I got medial epicanthoplasty when I had double eyelid surgery, and I ended up with every side effect there is: a hook-shaped inner eye corner, Mongolian folds, my eyes looking too close together, and even eye discharge buildup.... If I don't extend my eyeliner or if I wear light makeup, my eyes look close together, so people say I look foreign, but that really doesn't match the look I'm going for, and it upsets me so muchㅠ If I get restoration, could it change to look natural and not foreign-looking? The first one is my eye, and the second one is edited to the look I want. I'm still in high school, so if I get restoration, I'd have to do it during winter break. Break is a little under 2 months; would I not recover by then...?ㅠ Also, if there are any other features in my eyes that make me look foreign, please tell me what they are. This is so stressfulㅠ

flipit Did you cover the hook shape with tape? Oh, you edited it. But just looking at the eyes, the crease isn't very high, so I don't really get a foreign-looking vibe,, Your eyes don't look close together either; if anything, they look slightly wide-set, and your pupils are big so you have a cute look. Could it be because of other features of your face?? Recovery from restoration doesn't take many weeks, and you can cover the scar with concealer, but restoration is not an easy surgery, so you might end up liking it even less. Think carefully.
애플레몬백작 [@flipit] What kind of scar could it leave? Does it differ depending on the surgical method? Improving the hook shape + covering the lacrimal caruncle is my priority; could the side effects be severeㅠ?
익명 This is not a surgery to do on eyes like this. It's a hundred, a thousand times harder than canthoplasty, and it's hard to get a pretty shape. Scarring is basic.
roris I think leaving it alone would be okay!!!!
애플레몬백작 [@] My original eyes were pointed without a hook, but after medial epicanthoplasty the hook drooped way too far downward, and that's what I'm worried about...? Would this not improve either, and would it get pulled weirdly? Haㅠㅠ Restoration is so hard, I seriously feel like I'm going crazy.
애플레몬백작 [@] Even if it's done with reverse placement, does it leave a lot of scarring? When I had medial epicanthoplasty, I didn't scar; could restoration still cause scarring?
익명 [@애플레몬백작] Scarring is basic with restoration. And reverse placement has an even higher scarring risk.
익명 [@애플레몬백작] And if you get restoration, you can develop a hook shape or crowding too. This Mongolian fold is not thin and tightly attached to the eye like a natural Mongolian fold. It's thick and lifted. So it looks even more unnatural. White scarring is basic, and on top of that, in most cases people get several more side effects like a lifted Mongolian fold, depressed scar, lagophthalmos, raised scar, abnormal shape, reverse Mongolian fold, etc.
익명 [@애플레몬백작] And it will absolutely not turn out the way you edited it..
애플레몬백작 [@] I see.... Thanks for telling me. I'm suddenly scaredㅠ Ha, I just regret getting medial epicanthoplasty so much.
미지먀 Isn’t the foreign-looking impression because your nose is high? I don’t really get that feeling from your eyes.

Eye Re-Surgery@eye-redoNov 2 It's a revision surgery, but would they know if I lied and said it was my first? My non-incisional lateral/lower canthoplasty all closed back up
I had lower canthoplasty 5 years ago with a non-incisional method (periosteal fixation). Now mine has closed back up. This time I'm planning to do lateral/lower canthoplasty with an incisional method, but the price goes way up for revision

Eye Re-Surgery@eye-redoNov 1 What’s the problem here?
I had a revision with the buried-suture method, but the line feels like it has dropped too much compared with the beginning, so I compared it with photos from week 2. As the swelling went down, my upper eyelid stayed the same, so because of
