I'm currently deciding between ㅇㄴㅋ and ㅌㅇㅅ Both said we'd do fat repositioning But at ㅇㄴㅋ, they told me that sometimes additional fat may be needed to make the fat repositioning more complete They didn't pressure me at all, but because I really want a perfect revision surgery, if I do it there, I decided to do fat grafting too At ㅌㅇㅅ, there was no mention of fat grafting at all But I feel like fat grafting is done for a more complete result, so I'm more drawn to ㅇㄴㅋ since they suggested it first Could there be side effects from fat grafting?
하이하욤 I was also told I need fat grafting for an eye revision... They did recommend it when I had my first revision, but I didn't do it, and because the line is high it looks a bit sausage-like. Now that I'm trying to do another revision, they say to do fat grafting on the upper eyelid (same hospital
익명 When doing double-line removal, they release the existing adhesion and pull fat over through fat repositioning to cover the area above the existing line. That's how they prevent adhesions from forming. If it goes wrong, even after double-line removal, it can settle back into the original high line. If the amount of fat you have is sufficient, they pull that over and use it; if it's insufficient, they graft fat. But each doctor has a different standard for what counts as insufficient, so maybe that's why the opinions are split. Occasionally there are side-effect reviews after double-line removal saying that a few months after surgery, it settled back into the original line.
개빈둥 [@하이하욤] Even though you already had a revision, the line is still high, so you're trying to do another revision??
개빈둥 [@] Thank you!! The director at the hospital that suggested fat grafting gave a much more detailed consultation and seemed more like a perfectionist, so I guess they're considering fat grafting too in preparation for any possible failure....
익명 [@개빈둥] But fat grafting also has side effects, so think it over carefully. Until we actually undergo surgery, we really don't know which doctor is right or who is good at surgery. The result is what speaks for it.. Being good at consultations doesn't mean they're good at surgery, so decide carefully and cautiously. I really hope your surgery succeeds
개빈둥 [@] Thank you I'm really torn between these two hospitals right now In times like this, what should I look at to decide? ㅌㅇㅅ: The director is definitely very skilled, but it feels like a factory-style clinic + the consultation ended too quickly (they said my eyes are the type that can get good results, so I shouldn't worry too much) + the aftercare sounds fancy in words but feels like there's not much to it. I'm scared they'll abandon me after surgery sob sob ㅇㄴㅋ: Here, the director seems extremely sensitive and meticulous about the surgery, and they said they'll keep showing me the mirror during surgery and reflect my needs, so I'm more drawn to it.. Also, they give scar-tissue injections and swelling injections, so they say the swelling goes down quickly. It feels like they focus on each patient individually You seem like a cautious type, so I'm asking Could you maybe give me your opinion..?
하이하욤 [@개빈둥] First surgery -> I did it when I was 20 and knew nothing, so it was an inline buried-suture double eyelid --> It looked natural, so I wore double-eyelid tape to make an outline and lived like that for over 5 years -> Revision with non-incisional ptosis correction (I asked them to fix it along the outline double-eyelid line as it was, but it feels a bit sausage-like + I think it's more like that because of the ptosis correction (my upper eyelid area is narrow too, so... That's why I'm looking into another revision
