익명 [@] But if it’s eye surgery, it would likely be performed while the patient is awake, so if the surgical method changes, shouldn’t you discuss it with the patient and obtain consent, even verbally? I’m also curious why a consent-form item like that is there for a patient having surgery while conscious. I’ve had double eyelid surgery several times, but I’ve never seen a consent form saying the operating surgeon may change, or the surgical method may be changed and added to... Also, I recommend making separate consent forms by surgery category. The surgical content and risks are completely different, the anesthetic drugs are different, and the time required is different, so lumping everything together with one consent form looks very unprofessional.
