At every consultation I go to, the directors say that if there is no pus or severe swelling, symptoms like occasional redness, slight swelling, and aching are absolutely not inflammation, but a foreign-body reaction. But for someone like me, who had silicone in my nose for 20 years and lived perfectly fine with no problems, a foreign-body reaction? After revision surgery, my nasal swelling wouldn’t go down well for 4 months, and after that it kept tingling and aching, so I even went to a university hospital. At the hospital where I had surgery, they said it was a foreign-body reaction, that I was sensitive... It’s so absurd and frustrating. If it’s not occasional but constantly tingles, pulls, and the strange sensation doesn’t decrease, don’t just wait because they tell you you’re sensitive and to endure it. Try getting treatment, and when you have it removed, it’s also good to do a bacterial test. Even if there is no pus or blood, if you feel body aches and have pain, it could be an infection. I hope you suffer less than I did and that this helps.
