For 47 years, I carried resentment over my small, flattened nose, so I had rhinoplasty once at age 20 and once at age 40. But I was always envious of other people’s pretty noses, and whenever I looked only at my own nose, I wondered why it was so small and why even my nostrils showed. I didn’t show it, but as I got older, my self-esteem kept dropping more and more. Then I kept noticing Dr. Guk Kyung-hoon’s rhinoplasty reviews on Instagram, made a consultation appointment, waited two months, and after the consultation I booked right away and paid the reservation deposit! Consultations elsewhere? I didn’t go. When my husband said, “Shouldn’t you at least consult one more place?” I just said... I trust that doctor... And then I waited for the surgery day. I was drawn by the kindness, sweetness, and somehow charisma? of the doctor I had met for the first time, and had surgery. Today is one week since my splint was removed. Before removing the splint, I was more nervous than on the day of surgery. I kept thinking, what if I take this splint off and my nose isn’t pretty? The kind nurse in the treatment room removed the splint and handed me a mirror, and the moment I saw it, even this swelling that hadn’t fully gone down made me happy. To think that a nose this small, flattened, and nostril-showing could be fixed like this... I used to think only doctors who fix the heart and brain were real doctors, but thanks to Dr. Guk Kyung-hoon, my thoughts changed. He said that after a little more time, it would become slimmer and come down slightly (he said that would look more natural), but even now I’m so, so satisfied!! I don’t regret my choice one bit, and I only feel sorry that I didn’t meet the doctor sooner. After I get back from vacation, I’ll also leave a 2-week review.
