I wanted in-place canthoplasty, but they advised me against it. The reason was that I don’t have enough excess skin right now. They normally have a consultation fee too, but since I wasn’t a surgical candidate, they didn’t take it. It seemed like the very subtle canthoplasty I had in mind wasn’t possible. Even in-place canthoplasty is still strictly surgery, so I think this was a case where the drawbacks would be greater than the benefits. A hospital I’m grateful to for conscientiously talking me out of it.
