It has already been 5 months since I had facial contouring surgery. Time really flies haha. In the early stage after surgery, the swelling was severe and there was pain too, but now it looks so natural and feels completely like my own face, to the point where I wonder if I really had surgery. As my lower face became neatly refined, my old angular facial lines are nowhere to be seen, and overall my face shape has become smooth and soft. The cheekbone area in particular was truly the best decision! Before, my cheekbones protruded sideways like a peanut, so I always had to press them in with an editing app, but now it feels like the cheekbones themselves have disappeared, so I don’t need any editing. If I edit it now, I actually end up looking like an alien lol. Most of all, because my face shape has become smaller and more refined, my eyes, nose, and mouth feel like they stand out more clearly. Before, my features felt buried in a wide canvas(?), but now they feel perfectly centered, so I’m so happy every time I do my makeup. Now, the scars from my bimaxillary facial contouring surgery are barely visible, and sensation inside the skin has returned a lot, so I have no discomfort at all in daily life. My friends only say, “You lost a lot of weight~,” and it looks so natural that they don’t even notice I had surgery! Every time I look in the mirror, my satisfaction goes up, and I don’t even remember my broad, flat-looking face from before facial contouring surgery haha. It’s amazing and I’m honestly grateful that stress about my appearance could be reduced this much. What I really want to tell anyone considering facial contouring surgery is that the recovery period is definitely not easy! But if the result is satisfying, it’s absolutely something you can endure. I’m really satisfied, and I’m already looking forward to the 6-month and 1-year marks haha
