I had a consultation for revision eye surgery with Director ㄱㅈㄱ at ㅇㅇㅌ Plastic Surgery Clinic in Apgujeong. There was no consultation fee. A long time ago, I had incisional double-eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty, but as I’ve gotten older, my eye-opening strength has weakened, and I tend to open my eyes using my eyebrows and forehead. One side of my double eyelid was partially coming undone, so I went in for a consultation.
The director was kind and explained step by step what the issues with my eyes were. Because my eye-opening strength had weakened, he recommended ptosis correction or blepharoptosis correction. He honestly told me that after correction, my eyes could look clearer, but my impression could become a bit stronger, which made me trust him more. (I have chubby cheeks and a cute-looking style, so I look much younger than my age.) I said that even if my double eyelid were to come undone again, I did not want my impression to change into a stronger one. The director then recommended that if I did not want blepharoptosis correction, I should not do it, and instead suggested the “two-line” technique to make the enlarged double-eyelid thickness a bit thinner and improve the side that was coming undone.
The consultant and staff were also kind. Compared with other clinics, the consultant and staff seemed younger. There was no consultation fee, and although I had made a reservation and still had to wait a bit, their style is to give a careful and calm consultation with attention to detail.
