(Surgery in November 2023)
At the time, I did not shop around for consultations and just thought I would get a consultation and, if it seemed okay, have surgery, so there is no comparison with other hospitals. I originally had a lot of fat on my face in particular, and because my chin was small, my double chin was a concern. I had surgery for the double chin + jawline (350,000 won each), and cheek fat (700,000 won) was also recommended, but since I was 20 years old at the time, I declined because of the financial burden and concern about cheek hollowing.
Wearing a compression band was mandatory for 4 days after surgery, and there was bruising and swelling for 2-3 weeks. Even with swelling, the change in my jawline was clearly visible.
There was some bio-bond, but I remember it disappeared after 2 months? 3 months. The injection-mark scars also disappear over time.
For about 1 year after surgery, my weight stayed the same, and it definitely had an effect. After 1 year post-op, I ended up gaining about 10 kg. Still, I wonder if I would have had more of a double chin if I had not had the surgery? I will write again about how it looks after losing 10 kg. (I heard that if you gain weight, it comes back.)
