In early May, I had 15-minute buried-suture double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty at Iwabaek Plastic Surgery. The after photo is from week 6, and I feel like there was almost no scarring when I closed my eyes from the beginning..! I especially wanted natural-looking eyes with an inline shape that felt close to inner double eyelids, and it came out exactly the way I wanted, so I’m completely satisfied..! I was also really worried about scarring from the epicanthoplasty, but it turned out so clean that people around me don’t really notice.. They ask if my eyes got this much bigger just from making a thin double eyelid line.. haha I definitely heard a lot that I look more defined after getting it done..! People seeing me for the first time or after a long time mostly don’t notice..? I just heard things like my impression seems to have changed because I lost weight The bruising and major swelling all went down within 2 weeks, and now only I can tell that the minor swelling is slowly going down. It’s getting more natural over time, so I’m satisfied. At first, there was some bleeding in one eye, so the bruising and swelling were uneven, but that is naturally evening out too..! More than anything, the director was so kind that I felt much less nervous before the surgery, and they explained every question I had in detail, so I felt I could trust them and leave it in their hands. I was a bit worried about local anesthesia.. but it’s just for a moment and definitely tolerable! If anything, knowing how the procedure was progressing made me feel more reassured. Anyway, if you want natural double eyelids that “don’t look obvious,” I recommend it!
