As I got older, the area under my eyes gradually became bulgier and my dark circles got worse. At some point, makeup could no longer cover it well, and when I was bare-faced without makeup, people thought I looked much older. I had never had plastic surgery before, but I made up my mind, looked into under-eye fat repositioning, and had the surgery. At first, my husband was negative about plastic surgery too, but now that I’ve had it, he says it was good that I did, and it feels like our relationship as a couple has gotten a bit better too. He said that if I only did repositioning, the bulging under-eye area would be resolved, but the under-eye troughs or sunken anterior cheek area could still look hollow. Before the consultation, when I was researching online, I often saw posts saying to do only repositioning and not fat grafting, but I also felt that repositioning alone would not be enough to balance facial volume. And looking at myself now after having it done, my facial line definitely feels softer. If you only do repositioning and simply move the fat, you can’t fill facial volume, so if needed, do fat grafting together and get the effect on the anterior cheek area as well. I think that’s how you get a truly younger-looking facial line.
