Ever since I was young, I really hated my wide, square-shaped face. Even if I covered it with my hair or wore a mask, my side cheekbones still stuck out. I like wearing hats, but they made my face shape stand out even more, so my face looked bigger when I wore them. And the sadness of not being able to choose hairstyles freely... My parents were strongly against it, so I hadn't been able to do it until now. Before I got any older, I finally made up my mind and decided, and in the end, I went through with it. I got scolded a lot, though. In the end, they gave up trying to stop me.
When I got facial contouring, I especially wanted to reduce my cheekbones... The cheekbones that used to protrude sideways were definitely refined well, so even when I wear a hat or a mask, nothing sticks out, and it looks much better ㅜㅜ I don't have to cover my cheekbones with my hair anymore, and every time I look in the mirror, I feel good lololol. Of course, my square jaw too lol
It's been 6 months now. Maybe my recovery was faster than expected, but the bruising went away quickly around week 1-2, and after 3 months, the residual swelling settled down, so the uneven areas disappeared too. I had no discomfort at all in daily life. Nothing hurt anywhere, and I didn't have numbness in my face or anything like that. I could eat meat and tough foods just fine. Still, just in case, I still try not to bite down on things that are too hard, like ice or candy, as much as possible. But I can eat most things now haha
My parents and close friends all know, but everyone says it doesn't look awkward. People I met after a long time, or at the hospital I've gone to often since I was young, look at my face and ask why I lost so much weight lol I never had much facial fat to begin with, but I guess because the line is more refined now, it looks even more that way. People say my face got slimmer, but no one knows I had surgery. I don't know if I should be happy that they don't know lololol
Now that about half a year has passed, my face feels even more refined, so I'm even more satisfied :) As expected, swelling really is something you have to wait for until it goes down to some extent. Even when I put on makeup and go out, it feels different.... I even thought it would have been nice if I had done it a bit earlier. But at the time, a big reason was that there wasn't a hospital I liked... If only the director had opened the hospital a little earlier...! If you've really made up your mind, I recommend doing it early.
