I didn’t look at other apps and only did my online research through this community. I live outside Seoul, so going back and forth to Seoul is tough,, I looked at review photos and went to hospitals I liked, and I thought going around to too many places would just make me worry more, so I only checked out 3 places. Since I found a place I really liked, I also didn’t really want to look any further haha 1. ㅇㅆ I happened to see this place on Instagram, and it turned out a friend had had a consultation there, so I went too. There was none of the lively vibe you see on Instagram, and the doctor seemed tired. They didn’t take a CT scan and just lifted my nose a little with a cotton swab, then that was it. When I tried to ask more questions, they seemed a bit annoyed, so I ruled this place out in my head. The consultant was very, very kind, but I passed because of the director. They said they’d use ear cartilage, and after opening the nose, if the nasal septum was small, they’d use rib cartilage. But then shouldn’t they take a CT before surgery and decide? It was funny that they’d just decide in the middle of surgery. This was the first place I had a consultation, but because of the director I had no intention of having surgery there, so I don’t even remember well what we talked about. 2. ㅋㅂㅈ The review photos looked pretty natural, the ratings in the community were decent, and it seemed like a lot of people went there, so I went for a consultation. But here too, the director gave off a very annoyed + tired vibe. I brought a notebook and asked what I was curious about, and when I flipped through it for a moment to see if I had any more questions, they told me to go. The consultation wasn’t even 10 minutes,,, There were a lot of people in the waiting room, including people who had already had surgery and people who came for consultations. So I wondered if that was why they were trying to finish the consultation quickly. The consultant was kind, and there wasn’t really any pressure to pay a deposit. No CT scan. Bulbous nose correction + nostril reduction + nasal bridge osteotomy + 3 mm silicone + ear cartilage, mid-to-high 4 million won range Deposit was 100,000 won, and they said it was non-refundable. CCTV can only be viewed by a guardian. 3. ㄴㅌ When I saw this place’s postoperative photos, the noses were so pretty. They steadily post before-and-after photos on Instagram too, and I could feel that the director has their own philosophy. You can tell this even just by reading the director’s blog posts without going for a consultation. There are a lot of posts people would likely be curious about too, so I recommend reading them in advance if you’re going for a consultation here. But I waited 3 months for the consultation,,, I wasn’t going to have surgery right away, so I booked for the date I wanted, but if anyone here wants to do it quickly, go for a remote consultation ㄱㄱ I went for the consultation, and like other people’s reviews said, the director explained things calmly and well, pointed out the areas I should focus on, and recommended a shape that would suit me. They said the photos I brought would suit me well and that I had brought good references, and they also praised me? here and there, so I felt good haha I prefer naturalness over a flashy look, and they said it was fortunate because a flashy look wouldn’t suit me. They explained the surgical method in detail and answered my questions well too. The consultation time was also about 30 minutes? I think it was pretty long. The consultant was kind too, and I was a bit worried about the price, but it was cheaper than I expected, so I paid a 500,000 won deposit and booked a surgery date. Bulbous nose correction + around 3 mm silicone + ear cartilage + nasal septum + slightly creating a nose tip highlight/shape, low 4 million won range. The deposit is fully refundable until the set deadline. CCTV can be viewed for up to one week. Compared with other people here, I didn’t really go to many consultations, and it would be a lie to say I’m not anxious, but I liked the last hospital, so I’m not going to look further. I considered what everyone talks about: finding a place whose aesthetic sense matches yours, a one-doctor clinic, and the price, but kindness was also important to me, so I think I was more drawn to no. 3. Some posts say what matters is that the surgery goes well, not whether they’re kind, but they say many places change their attitude after you pay. Then they should at least be kind during the consultation. I know they’re tired from doing surgery, but being unfriendly from the first meeting just made me feel like they saw me as an easy mark, so it didn’t feel good. And since I have a bulbous nose and a short nose, my nasal support needs to be somewhat sturdy, but no. 2 said it could be done with ear cartilage, so I was like, hmm? At no. 3, I had a CT scan, and they said my nasal septum was quite large, so it could be made sturdy with a double layer, and it was decided not to use rib cartilage. They said that’s why the price was lower. Looking at reviews, it seems they use donated rib cartilage a lot. When I see people recommending no. 3, it seems like they get reported as brokers, but people can recommend after having surgery, so I don’t know why they report them.. Honestly, even just looking at the review post I wrote, I’m scared I’ll get reported, but I’m really doing this because I like it hahaㅜㅜㅜ For reference, I originally found it annoying to wait for the no. 3 consultation (3 months), so I was thinking of just doing it at no. 2, but after seeing a post about side effects, I changed my mind... Ask me if you’re curious about anything~~
Lalaby It’s not that people get reported because they recommend no. 3; they get reported because they’re brokers. The cause and effect are different. Talk with the place your heart is drawn to, and I hope it goes well!
냉철초코 [@Lalaby] I don’t know how they know whether someone is a broker and report them. When I click into comments saying they had surgery there that got suspended, they seem ordinary.. Of course, there are brokers for other hospitals too, though
달방이 Did you look at all the bad reviews of no. 3 too before deciding?
