Review of middle-aged upper blepharoplasty ptosis correction and canthoplasty surgery

Hello. It has already been 5 months since my surgery, so I’m sharing a summary of the changes and how I’ve felt so far. The surgeries I received were revision upper blepharoplasty ptosis correction, revision hook canthoplasty, and dual canthoplasty. I had double eyelid surgery 30 years ago, but as time passed, my eyelids sagged a lot and the double eyelid line became so faint that it was almost invisible. Also, I had medial epicanthoplasty at the time, but the epicanthal fold was not sufficiently removed, so my eyes still looked stuffy, and that always remained a disappointment. I also had ptosis symptoms, so even when I opened my eyes, they lacked a clear look, and because I repeatedly had to unconsciously use my forehead or open my eyes wide, I also felt fatigue. So this time, I decided on revision surgery because I wanted to compensate for the limitations of the previous surgery and improve the overall eye line. The stuffy feeling caused by sagging eyelids disappeared, and the strength when opening my eyes became much more natural and clear. My eye shape also became softer, and I think it gives a much clearer and more refreshed impression than before. The disappointing parts from my previous medial epicanthoplasty, especially the fact that the epicanthal fold had not been removed enough, were definitely improved through this surgery. The inner corners of my eyes look much more natural, and the stuffy feeling has largely disappeared. As the medial epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty connected naturally, the horizontal length of my eyes expanded, giving a refreshed and clear impression. My pupils show more clearly, and I feel that the overall proportions of my eyes have improved as well. Since it was revision surgery, there was inevitably a bit more swelling and bruising, but as I took care of it according to the instructions, a lot of the swelling went down from around months 1 to 2, and now it is almost natural, with no inconvenience at all in daily life. Most of all, I often hear that my eyes look much more refreshed and clearer than before, and that my overall impression looks different, and every time I look in the mirror, I think I’m glad I had the surgery. The hospital director and all the staff responded kindly and took care of me so that I had no even small complaints, so I was able to proceed without major worries.
