Eye Surgery Considerations

Mark community review

The clinic facilities are good, and I liked that the waiting rooms are separated. I went on a weekday afternoon, so the wait was not extremely long. This was the first place that said no stitch removal is needed even though they use autologous costal cartilage. It seems to be because they use dissolvable sutures. They said if a scar forms at the autologous costal cartilage site, scar laser treatment is free. They first told me that the surgery is done under sedation anesthesia and CCTV viewing is available, so I felt reassured. Unlike other clinics, they emphasized that they provide a 3-year warranty. But here too, maybe the doctor was a bit busy, because he seemed rushed. Rather than explaining how the surgery would proceed, he was very confident and said it would turn out pretty. The consultant was also very kind and said I would look really good if I did it. But the common point in both the doctor and consultant consultations was that they made me feel good, yet because there was no detailed explanation, I became anxious. They told me to put down a deposit, and said it would be 100% refundable as long as I tell them by one week before, so I did put it down for now, but I am still unsure and thinking about it. Showing a reconstruction of the nose after surgery seems to be what makes them different from other clinics, but the facial reconstruction itself looked very awkward, so honestly it was not helpful.
