<Before><After>I’m not saying the materials, hospital, and doctor I chose for surgery are all the correct answer!! But I feel like some people take rhinoplasty too lightly, so I hope you’ll just take this as a reference for what the recovery process is like haha Rhinoplasty) I corrected a hump and bulbous nose together and used donated rib cartilage. On the day of surgery, I was really nervous, but what actually felt hard was going home after surgery with cotton packing + a splint all attached,, lololololol I think that was the moment I newly realized how precious breathing through the nose is,, Even when I went to the hospital to have the cotton removed, I was dizzy,, but I went by myself bravely and did fine haha Day 2~1 week) They usually say swelling peaks at one week, but for me, it felt like days 3~4 were when it swelled the most!! I also had swelling below the glabella, so somehow my philtrum looked long,,??ㅜㅜㅜ Sh*t,, Since it was before removing the splint, I didn’t know if it was okay and was worried, but from day 5 the swelling gradually calmed down, and I quickly got over the post-op anxiety,, hahaha Everyone, do lots of cold compresses. Cold compresses are the real thing. 1 week~1 month) I regularly drank swelling tea I bought after being tempted by an Instagram ad,, (I don’t know if it works;; it’s just expensive, so I want to tell everyone here I don’t recommend it) It’s a period of hanging in there while regularly using a compress mask,, But since I could see my nose after removing the splint, I liked it for now ㅠㅠ Just the hump and bulbous nose being gone moved me,, I diligently went for walks every night, and whenever I had time, I practiced smiling while looking in the mirror,, I did it because using my philtrum felt a bit awkward, but I think it also helped reduce swelling in its own way!! Now) For me, the swelling gradually went down as it moved from beside the nose > philtrum > lower cheeks, and at this time it’s really important not to worry too much and just leave it to timeㅠㅠ In the beginning, I had all kinds of thoughts, so I contacted the hospital where I had surgery a lot too, and when I went to have progress checks with Director Kim Jun-hyung, I asked about five hundred questions, but in the end I recovered just fine,,,, Sorry haha,,,, Looking at it now, the nasolabial angle is also very different, and my nose definitely feels slimmer, so I like it. I thought and thought and thought before choosing donated rib cartilage, and I think I made the right choice! ><
