Extremely Satisfied Review of My First Double Eyelid Non-incisional Surgery

(Both photos are with false eyelashes on)   To be honest, my eyes were already on the larger side, but because of multiple eyelid creases, I had been debating for over 10 years whether or not to get surgery. While searching, I saw that the hospital reviews were all good, and the eye area in my recent photos kept bothering me, so I thought, "Let’s get a consultation and decide. Since I have to go to work, if I can’t do it during the holiday, then I just won’t be able to do it this year." So I went to the hospital thinking, let’s at least get a consultation! (To be honest, going to consultations at several places felt like a hassle, so I didn’t shop around and only went to one place. I happened to succeed, but this is not a good example, so I recommend looking into things carefully.) The consultation with the consultant was just a brief question about what kind of consultation I wanted, and I mostly consulted with the director. But the consultation was really kind, and they answered every single question. I asked about double eyelids, asked about other things too, basically asked everything, and from the doctor’s perspective, they explained things like, "I recommend this, it’s better not to do that, that would be better when you’re a bit older," in a way that was easy to understand, so I felt a lot of trust. They also created several possible lines and showed them to me while consulting. I couldn’t remember the line they had made before, so I asked them to make it again, and they did. They also checked both sides, and explained everything about how the surgery would be done. They also said they would not have recommended surgery if it weren’t for the multiple creases. After I came out and asked the consultant whether the date I wanted was available, she said it was, but I didn’t make a reservation right away and went home. After thinking it over, I made up my mind about 3 days later, called, and booked the appointment. On the day of surgery, I consulted with the director again and decided on the design. It was a matter of choosing one of my existing multiple creases as the line, and there were options 1 through 5: (1 inline, 2 in-out, 3 semi-out, 4 outline, 5 sausage line). The director, the nurse, and I, the three of us, debated between number 2 and number 3, and chose number 3. After that, they explained the surgical method and postoperative precautions again, and kept reassuring me not to worry. Before going in, since it was a holiday period, we decided to remove the stitches the next day, and they said a high pillow or pumpkin juice would not have much effect, so I should just eat well, sleep deeply, and rest well. Then we went into the operating room together, I lay down, and they did local anesthesia. During the surgery, the doctor kept talking to me, and kept joking with the nurse too, so I felt much less nervous. It did feel like something was happening on top of my eyelids, but since it was local anesthesia, there wasn’t really any pain. When they told me, "Don’t tense up," I relaxed and just chatted with the director. After it was over, I opened my eyes and they checked whether the line had come out well. The surgery ended faster than I expected, and after about 20 minutes of cold compresses, I listened to the precautions, received my prescription, and went home. I didn’t get any bruising at all, just swelling. The next day, I had the stitches removed, heard the precautions again, went home, happily enjoyed the holiday, and then went back to work. About 3 weeks later, my eyes felt a bit uncomfortable, so I called the hospital, and they told me to come in so they could check, so I went. They flipped my eyelid to check, and said the surgical site was clean and that it was simply because of swelling, so I felt relieved and went home. And actually, after some time passed, the discomfort went away. It has now been about a month and a half, and I can see the swelling gradually going down more and more. The multiple creases have disappeared too, and opening my eyes has become more comfortable, so I’m extremely satisfied!
