The top is before surgery, and the bottom is after surgery ^^; ====== At first, I was looking into orthodontic treatment because of my protruding jaw, and I was advised to get double-jaw surgery. I had pre-surgical orthodontics for 6 months, and while having double-jaw surgery, I also had chin surgery and got an implant. I got silicone. ************** Someone in the comments asked why I got an implant in my chin... My protruding jaw was quite severe, and although my lower jaw protruded a lot, the jawbone itself was large and blunt-looking too. ㅠㅠ So while having double-jaw surgery... I ended up doing my chin at the same time while I was at it ^^ *************** Right after surgery, I was too busy just trying to breathe haha, so I was out of it, and in week 1, I went to get the stitches removed... I had sensation in the upper jaw area, so it kept stinging and made tears come to my eyes, but the lower jaw area really had no sensation. I couldn’t feel anything ㅠㅠ Then after a month, once the wafer was removed and I started orthodontic treatment, I gradually felt numbness and tingling... and pain around the lower jaw area. Feeling that pain was honestly so welcome ㅠㅠㅠ Even when washing my face, it felt like I was touching someone else’s face, and I felt so depressed, but after about 4 months, only my lower lip was numb, and sensation in my chin had almost all returned. As for chewing food, it was only after more than 2 months that I felt like, ah~ I can chew something a little now~ Before that, it was just at the level of crushing with my tongue, melting food, and drinking? After 2 months, I went to eat samgyetang with my family and tore off a little thigh meat from the chicken and chewed it. lol Oh, and around 3 months after surgery, I caught a cold briefly, and the nasal congestion then was seriously no joke. On top of that, I was told that since the surgery, I sometimes snore too ㅠㅠ I was prepared for maybe one or two side effects to appear, but lololol, wow... embarrassing... lol Still, my sensation came back, and with orthodontics, my tooth alignment turned out really pretty!! I’ll be getting my braces removed soon, so I’m really looking forward to it~ People usually say double-jaw surgery takes at least a year just to fully recover~ But I’m getting my braces off much sooner than expected too... Honestly, I feel good when I look in the mirror, but I’m posting this review because I was wondering how it looks to you all! ^,^
