On March 10 (about 6~7 months ago), I had surgery with osteotomy + silicone + septal cartilage + ear cartilage. But about a week ago, something like a pimple appeared on the upper inside of my nose, so I went to the clinic. They squeezed it, I took medicine and got an antibiotic injection, and it got better. But over the weekend it seemed to come back, so I went in (there was no pain or smell at all, and swelling was very slight..?) and they said to remove it, so I had only the silicone removed. (I asked whether leaving the nasal tip alone would cause another inflammation problem or something, and they said it didn’t matter and that we should remove only the silicone.) But after removing it, I started worrying. I said that as long as I don’t develop problems like contracture or depression after silicone removal, I don’t really plan to have revision surgery. And they did say that even if I changed my mind and wanted revision surgery, they would redo it for free with either silicone or fat, but they said they would do it after 1 month. Is that right?? I said isn’t 1 month later too soon, shouldn’t it be done much later, but they said it’s okay. Anyway, I don’t really want to think about revision surgery, so pass~~ (The clinic gave me antibiotics and Rizaben. I think they gave me Rizaben because I kept asking about contracture. They said contracture won’t happen if only the silicone is removed, but maybe because I kept bothering them, they gave me contracture medication.) 1. What I want to ask is... Even though my inflammation was not severe, inflammation did happen after all, and I had only the silicone removed. In this situation, how long will the swelling last? 2. And what is the likelihood of contracture or depression? 3. How should I take care of it? 4. Until when should I take Rizaben? 5. I had it removed today, so when will things like swelling go down... 6. Would it be okay to have revision surgery with fat after one month and inject only fat? (I’m debating whether to do this or not. I don’t really want more surgery.) I want to know.. Because of job hunting, returning to school, and so on, it’s impossible for me to disappear right now.. I don’t know what to do.ㅠㅠ sob.ㅠㅠ I had it removed today, but they told me to come to the clinic tomorrow too, and to have the stitches removed about 6 days later.. I had open rhinoplasty, but it seems like they removed the silicone with a closed approach. (I think they only cut inside the right nostril, because blood keeps flowing only from there.) Everyone... please help~!ㅠㅠㅠ I’m resting at home now, and it’s swelling a looot... Ha.. I also have to take the TOEIC Speaking test this weekend.ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
