I had rhinoplasty about 3 years ago. I liked the initial shape after the splint was removed, but within just a few months the nasal tip dropped, and the nasal dorsum became protruded into a hump-like shape. Also, inside my right nostril, the columella protruded, narrowing the nostril, and I often woke up while sleeping because I couldn’t breathe. So I requested aftercare for that area, and they treated it once with a closed approach. It improved by about a tiny bit, but the breathing passage is still smaller. If I block my left nostril, air goes “ssaaek” into the right side. It doesn’t go in comfortably. Still, I could consider the hump on the dorsum as natural-looking, and I really liked the nasal tip shape. My nose is small, so I chose the doctor carefully because they specialized in small noses. I liked the tip, it looked natural without obvious signs of surgery, and honestly it was much prettier than my previous nose. Even considering the side effects, I felt that if I went back to the past, I would still get the surgery. After doing my nose, I also heard so many times that I looked pretty. So I decided I would accept it and live with it, but recently the step-off on the nasal dorsum has become worse (I think the nasal tip is drooping more or being absorbed, maybe because it was ear cartilage and septal cartilage?), and it seems like the nasal tip cartilage is showing through in a round shape (this could be my imagination, so I’ll consult a removal clinic and either revise the content or do something > I was right. They said it’s showing through badly. Even, huh-heh). I’m looking into full nasal implant/cartilage removal at another clinic specializing in removal. If those parts hadn’t existed, honestly I would have been extremely satisfied, and even if there were some step-off on the nasal dorsum, I would have just lived with it… If I had surgery again, I would choose a different clinic, not this one. There was another clinic that was more expensive and looked better, and I do regret wondering whether things would have been different if I had chosen that place. Also, ah, this is what really pisses me off, and I don’t know if it’s still like this now, but the atmosphere among the operating-room nurses was completely awful. I think there was a junior male nurse, and they were really harsh on him (even if he was incompetent, still, when a patient right before having their nose cut open is trembling in fear, did they really have to do that there… I was worried that the male nurse would get filled with resentment and think, “you die and I die,” because then I’d die too;). The facial disinfection was rough, the nose hair removal was brutally forceful, and the operating room was freezing, so I was already trembling, but in those rough hands I became even more upset and scared, wondering what if my surgery went wrong, and I trembled even more. Has the atmosphere improved now? Part of why I can’t go back is because I’m scared to lie down there again. It’s hard to say all hospitals are like that, because I had revision double eyelid surgery at another hospital and LASIK at an ophthalmology clinic, and the atmosphere was fine at both ㅡㅡ Honestly, I want to ask them to cover part of the nasal removal cost, but I’m too scared to go. + To add a review after having removal surgery at another clinic, I was told that because my original nose was small and short, it was a nose that had a high possibility of turning out like this no matter who performed the surgery. So my feelings have softened a bit, but then I don’t think they should market themselves on YouTube as specializing in small noses and short noses ㅠㅠ Considering that the immediate shape after removing the splint was excellent + the silicone did not become crooked, and so on, I think the doctor’s skill is good. My own conditions were probably the unfortunate part.
