Review on day 52 after 3 facial contouring procedures + autologous costal cartilage rhinoplasty (cheekbones/square jaw/chin tip + implant-free autologous costal cartilage) Hello, everyone! I'm someone on day 52 after surgery :) I had 3 facial contouring procedures (cheekbones, square jaw, chin tip) together with implant-free nose surgery using autologous costal cartilage! When I first decided on surgery, I got a lot of help from reviews in this community, so I'm leaving this detailed review in the hope it can help even a little! -Concerns before surgery- My face shape was broad, and my cheekbones and jaw spread wide to both sides, so my face always looked big. My chin tip had a strong sagging impression, and my side profile line didn't stand out, so my overall impression tended to look a bit strong and flat. Every time I took photos, I habitually covered the sides of my face with my hands, or after taking them, I would always use an app to shave down my cheekbones and jaw ㅠㅠ My nose wasn't exactly low either, but I had a hump, drooping nasal tip, and a line that wasn't smooth. After living like that for a long time, I thought, 'I really need to change now,' so I decided on simultaneous facial contouring + nose surgery! - Reason for choosing the hospital- I really visited and compared many hospitals. The deciding factor was that this was a one-doctor clinic, and I felt I could trust that the director, who specializes in facial contouring, would personally take responsibility for the surgery as well. The director also did the consultation personally, and explained my facial structure and even the location of the nerve lines very thoroughly. For my chin, it wasn't protruding like some cases; it was actually slightly recessed, so they told me that advancing it just a little would make my face shape look prettier. For the cheekbones, they said they would mainly correct the prominence from the side and 45-degree angles rather than the front, and that immediately appealed to me. There was no overtreatment, and the style was to pinpoint only the areas that were truly needed, so I trusted them even more! -Changes after surgery- My cheekbones really decreased dramatically. Before, the volume protruded too much, making the width of my face look large, but now the cheekbones have moved inward, so my face looks much smaller and the front/45-degree lines really came alive! And because the lower face shortened a lot, I look younger. For my jaw, they didn't just shave it; it was slightly advanced to fit my face shape, so the side line feels much more natural and refined. For my nose, I had implant-free surgery with autologous costal cartilage, and I'm very satisfied because the line came out natural and smooth. At first I was worried about autologous costal cartilage, but after actually doing it, it feels less foreign, and the nasal tip is held firmly! I feel even more at ease because it's implant-free haha -Swelling / recovery process- It's not 100% gone yet! I do think the swelling needs to go down more. Even so, even with swelling now, it has settled so beautifully that I really like it, so I'm completely satisfied :) The swelling feels like it's gradually going down, as is typical for facial contouring, and the hospital often provides laser/swelling care. The nurses are all so kind too, so I recovered well without stress the whole time. The pain from the autologous costal cartilage was almost gone for me from day 7, and the stiff feeling around the jaw improved a lot after 2 weeks. -No regrets about simultaneous facial contouring + nose surgery- At first I was worried whether it would be okay to do facial contouring and nose surgery at the same time, but now I really think doing these two surgeries together was the best move. Facial contouring refined my facial frame to be smaller and prettier, and the nose set the central line, so the overall proportions changed completely. It really feels like both my face size and overall mood changed dramatically at the same time!!
