I’m seriously hairy, like orangutan level, and I thought this might help fellow monkey comrades like me, so it got long, sry... First of all, I have a ton of hair. It’s just genetics. So in winter I hide it under clothes, and every summer at home I shave with a razor, rip it out with wax, and torture my hair Then I finally thought I couldn’t go on like this and went to a dermatology clinic near my house... I did 3 areas: underarms + arms + calves. Underarms were cheaper than I expected, but arms and legs were more expensive than I expected, so I was kind of taken aback ㄷㄷ But it was stressful, so I just did it. First, I proceeded with 10 sessions, once a month When I went for hair removal, they gave me some glasses? and I lay on the bed. And it was over in about 5 minutes? Pain-wise, maybe because I used to yank out hair by myself with wax, it didn’t hurt at all. But my hair grows so fast and is thick, so around session 5? I wondered if this was right Around session 8, the hairs started getting a bit thinner, but my legs really kept staying stiff; The long-awaited 10th session. I went with a friend, and my friend doesn’t have much hair, so she finished after just 10 sessions, you know? I didn’t even need to think and added 10 more sessions. Why? Because hair kept growing Session 13.. My arms, where the hair was the thinnest, went completely extinct. I was seriously so proud My underarms also had almost nothing left except the really thick ones. Session 15 After arm extinction, underarm extinction. And the leg hair that was super stiff and had such a strong presence!!!! Of course a few strands still grow, but even those started growing thin like arm hair and then started not growing Session 17 At this time I had something come up, so I took about two months off, you know? Ha........ hair started slowly growing back from my underarms and arms, which I had made extinct Session 19 I realized hairy people can’t make hair go extinct with laser hair removal. I asked them to increase the intensity and did strong hair removal to really eradicate it Session 20 Maybe because I received the remaining sessions at a stronger level, it seems extinct again? But it might grow again after time passes. But paying again just to get rid of the few remaining strands feels way more wasteful, so I decided to just shave this much with a razor. Anyway.. this got too long.. anyway, what I’m saying is that for people with a lot of hair, an ordinary number of sessions won’t be anywhere near enough.... Still, it’s better than not doing it In the past, I had to shave once every 3 days, but these days maybe once a month? Just when it bothers me? For now, hair removal made the hair somewhat thinner and reduced the density, so I only need to focus on managing the hairs that grow, which is much easier. And the best part is ingrown hairs and folliculitis. When I removed hair by myself, no matter how well I managed it, one would pop up and stress me out, but since the clinic managed it, I didn’t get it even once during 20 sessions. Ask if there’s anything else you’re curious about. For the price, you can assume it’s similar to what’s listed at any dermatology clinic that comes up when you search around near your house Next time I’ll post a Brazilian waxing review. I wax that too, but it’s annoying, so I’m planning to get laser hair removal soon..
