I had a CT scan for a nose consultation, and then they suddenly said the inside of my nose was deviated and asked if I had indemnity insurance. I said I did, and after talking with the doctor without any detailed explanation, they charged a consultation fee. They brought up something I hadn't even asked about to someone who had no discomfort at all and no intention of receiving medical care, and it wasn't like I actually received treatment for that issue. They told me to pay a first-visit consultation fee, which was absurd. Recommending unnecessary surgery just because I have indemnity insurance is really unethical. (It actually wasn't even very deviated, and I have no discomfort at all.) I never want to go there again.
