This is a review after getting facial-contouring pins removed. It had been 2 years since my facial contouring surgery, and I decided I should not put off pin removal any longer, so I had the surgery. Also, when I pressed on my face, there were pins I could feel like scar tissue, and I disliked the feeling of the pins, so I also wanted to have them removed. The surgery was performed at a plastic surgery clinic. I chose it because it specializes in pin removal, so I thought the surgery would be completed without any major accident or problem during pin removal, and I think that made me trust it more. During the consultation with the director, the director explained the surgical details very kindly, and since we decided to proceed with posterior cheekbone shaving as well, I was able to consult on how much shaving would be possible. I was able to meet the director once more right after surgery, and I was grateful that they reassured me by saying the surgery went well. There were no additional costs during the preoperative consultation or after the surgery was finished. The clinic was clean and had a comfortable atmosphere. I was very nervous during surgery, but the clinic was a calm and fresh space, so it helped me feel psychologically stable. When I opened my eyes after surgery, I was in the recovery room, and the recovery room was also comfortable and nice. From day 9 after surgery, the major swelling had all gone down, so the swelling had subsided to the point that people could not tell even without wearing a mask, and from around day 12, I think I returned close to my usual facial condition. When I had cheekbone reduction surgery at another clinic, I had sensory impairment above my lip, but I am grateful that this pin removal surgery was done without sensory abnormalities or nerve damage. Currently, I am slightly swollen around the sideburn incision area, but I think the posterior cheekbone shaving effect is also good. If your sideburn area protrudes a lot when viewed from the front, I think you may see some degree of effect. For pin removal surgery, I think the most important thing above all is removing all the pins without causing major damage to the face, and I feel fortunate that the director performed the surgery well.
