My fifth nose revision surgery... It’s already been about 3 and a half weeks since I had it. The swelling is really going down in a depressing way. Until week 3, I looked like I did on day 3 after surgery, when swelling is at its worst, but suddenly I can see the swelling dropping dramatically day by day. My nasal bridge was low and my nasal bones were wide, so they did osteotomies on both sides to narrow them, and for the nasal dorsum they crushed costal cartilage... wrapped it in, I think, temporal fascia? and inserted it after shaping it, and the nasal tip was done with ear cartilage. Maybe because the crushed bone is fusing, the inside of my nasal dorsum feels slightly itchy here and there... For anyone who is struggling emotionally because of swelling after osteotomy.. time is medicine Please hang in there just a little longer
