Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Long TMI review from 3 years after rhinoplasty (feat. a failure case…

I had rhinoplasty in 2022 at Very Good Plastic Surgery, where there was the Kang H.D. controversy. I actually said hello because I was glad to see him (maybe because of the nose, he had a very displeased expression, anyway). I don’t really remember what I saw that made me go there lol. Proof that I thought about it for a long time, but acted very impulsively.. I really only put in silicone, without osteotomy or bulbous nose correction. Literally, I had surgery as a filler substitute. At the time, because of my low nasal bridge, I had also had filler in for 2-3 years, so it had already spread as much as it could, and I thought if I raised the bridge here, corrected the bulbous nose, and did osteotomy too, my image would change a lot because of my nose, so why not just put in silicone? At another place, the doctor said my nasal bridge was too low, and that if I wanted to raise the bridge, I would also need to raise my forehead. He asked if I would get forehead fat grafting, so I got scared in advance, and at Very Good, I put in relatively low silicone to match my low forehead. When asked how I wanted the nasal tip projected, I only requested, “Please make the midface look a little longer.” The height, moderately. lol (Let’s ask for things specifically...) When asked, “Do you want osteotomy?” I thought, hmm, if I do osteotomy, the nasal bridge will look too thin and only the nose will look like it’s floating (I don’t think that is true at all), so I refused. I was told they could use ear cartilage if they opened me up during surgery and judged it necessary, but when I opened my eyes after surgery, it seemed they hadn’t cut my ear. Well, so looking at it now, my nasolabial angle is about 90 degrees and the nasal tip is on the short and low side haha What I wanted to gain from rhinoplasty at the time was 1. Please, I wanted a face that matched my age. Because my nose was so low, I looked like an immature teenager. Even now that I’m in my 30s, convenience stores check my ID haha............ I think it’s to the point that you don’t have to be jealous. 2. I didn’t want to damage my existing image. I said I didn’t like looking young, but I wanted to keep my gentle image. It is still a difficult problem lol Looking very young was a huge complex for me. If I tried to become too sharp or glamorous, I would have to overhaul everything, so I wanted to get the smallest possible change.. If my midface looked a little longer, I would look older. Instead, let rhinoplasty be my last cosmetic surgery (nonsense 1) 3. It had to be unnoticeable that I had cosmetic surgery. Thisㅋㅋㅋㅋ I can say now that it was impossible. When people see my side profile, people around me sometimes ask. Did you, by any chance.. get something done? If I say no, they just move on, but I don’t know whether they believe it What I now think was too naive was the idea that touching as little as possible would make it natural. I absolutely did not want it to look like I had plastic surgery. But that was a complete misconception, right? I wanted surgery because I looked unattractive, so how could someone who knows nothing become pretty by shopping around and changing just a little? Thinking about it now lol, unless a consultant like ChatGPT or Wangjing comprehensively analyzes my face, it is rea~lly difficult to set a direction. (No one here thinks this way, right? If I’m spending my own money and opening my face once, I should become prettier haha) I think I naively thought that if only the complex from my low nasal bridge disappeared, I would look my age.. If I looked a little more mature, I wouldn’t be unhappy looking in the mirror even if I didn’t become prettier (nonsense 2) What I realize now is that if the lines of the forehead, eyebrows, eyes, outer eye corners, nose, and chin all connect naturally, even if you touch a lot with cosmetic surgery, the lines will look naturally pretty and natural. When you look at celebrities who are always called pretty, they have unforgettable individuality, right? I think I really envy having an identity in the face. Kim Go-eun. I think I wanted just that level of naturalness, individuality, and charm. Of course, there are many people who become prettier after their first surgery, but especially in cases like mine, where my job is unrelated to appearance, I think you approach cosmetic surgery as just erasing a few complexes. But cosmetic surgery is for becoming pretty lololol In my opinion, the moment a lot of people knock on the door of a plastic surgery clinic is usually an impulsive late night or a weekend when they don’t want to sleep. After making the reservation, they get terrified. What if I don’t look the way I imagined? They comb through a community, visit a few places, then throw away all the things they had originally worried about and just decide. Thinking, they’ll take care of it well. That’s 100% a ticket to revision surgery Now I’m thinking I’ll have revision rhinoplasty someday~ (I’m going to do bulbous nose correction,, osteotomy.. ^^) At the moment I’m writing this post, I’m lying at home after ptosis correction and medial/upper canthoplasty lol ha If there is an impression you dislike in your face, I think it is better to make a long-term surgical plan by comprehensively considering various lines instead. Reference: Osteotomy.. I should have done it..ㅜㅜ When talking with the doctor, communicating your needs is important, but I think listening carefully to the explanation is also important. If they suggest osteotomy, at least ask why they made that suggestion
