<Before surgery><One month after surgery><One month after surgery>This is my one-month review after getting posterior lower canthoplasty at a plastic surgery clinic!
For a long time, I was stressed because the outer corners of my eyes turned upward and my eyes looked narrow, so I looked into various clinics for posterior lower canthoplasty. I chose this place because it was known for definitely opening the eyes up in a refreshing way and for the results not reattaching.
In my case, I live outside Seoul, so I searched hard through app reviews and online communities, but as soon as I saw this clinic, I liked it. Since I was going to do it anyway, I wanted to get it done somewhere that would definitely open the area, so I booked the surgery right away!
Before surgery, I had a consultation with the director, and as expected from a veteran director specializing in posterior lower canthoplasty, I could feel a lot of confidence!! Since the outer corners of my eyes were quite upturned, I asked for them to be lowered as much as possible, and I think the result turned out very satisfying.
I went in feeling very nervous about the surgery, but the desk staff who guided me, the consultant, and the nurses were all very kind, which was nice ~!
The surgery was done under deep sedation, so anesthesia started right at the beginning of the surgery, and when I woke up, the surgery was already finished. One thing I liked about this clinic was that there was an anesthesiology doctor, so even though it was my first time having sedation anesthesia, I think I was able to proceed with peace of mind.
The stitches after surgery are removed on days 5 and 8. Before stitch removal, the conjunctival edema was pretty severe, so I did have a hard time ㅠㅠ But fortunately, after the stitches were removed on day 8, it went down right away!! I think conjunctival edema mostly subsides in about 2 weeks, so you probably don’t need to worry too much!! Make sure to ice well and use artificial tears regularly.
First of all, after surgery, the outer corners of my eyes lowered a lot, so I look much gentler than before, and the back of my eyes opened up a lot, so I’m satisfied!! I do regret not doing it a little sooner, but I have no regrets about the surgery itself ~! If you’re stressed because your eyes turn upward a lot like mine, I recommend this clinic!!
