Because it was hard to take leave, I planned for a same-day consultation and same-day surgery and came in. I had come in only planning to get repositioning, but the consultation coordinator saw me and immediately said I probably needed fat grafting. They went on about what would cave in and so on. A little later, the director came in. He kindly recommended fat grafting too, even drawing pictures to explain. I thought they were recommending it because it was needed, so I went ahead. Fat grafting was added on top of the planned repositioning surgery, and the cost jumped from 100 to the low 200s. I am now on day 21. My eyes are a mess, plain and simple. I should have gathered more information, studied more, and chosen more carefully instead of thinking I would just become smoother and prettier. The hospital keeps repeating the same answer like a parrot: since it has not even been a month yet, wait 3 to 6 months. I do not even want the satisfying result they kept recommending anymore. I would just be grateful if it improved by even 20% from the current state. I spent the money and got mental illness, and I am getting through each day like this.
