Got Rid of My Bulldog Jowls lol Mini Vertical + Midface Lift, 1 Month Post-Op

I really thought about it thousands of times, but every time I looked in the mirror, seeing the deep cheek fat bulging out beside my mouth like bulldog jowls was so stressful that I finally went ahead and had surgery a month ago lol It’s still only 1 month post-op, so my face isn’t fully settled yet, but compared with before, I can already see the difference, so I’m posting a review for now haha When I was in my 20s, I didn’t really care about this kind of thing either, but once I hit my 30s, even the same cheek fat seemed to gather more toward the lower part of my face When I smiled, my nasolabial folds looked deeper, and the boundary between my jawline and neck looked blurrier than before, so every time I looked in the mirror I kept staring at my lower face lol If it was going to keep stressing me out, I figured I should just get it properly checked out. At first I thought lifting was all basically the same, but after looking into it, I found a lot of people saying the method differs depending on the direction of pull and the condition of the face. So instead of a method that only pulls sideways, I looked for something that could also address my deep cheek fat and midface sagging, and after a consultation with Director Jang Wooseok at [Clinic A], I ended up getting a mini vertical lift and a midface lift together! What I was most concerned about during the consultation was the deep cheek fat and the midface that looked long, and the doctor looked at my face and pointed out why the area beside my mouth looked heavy and dropped downward. He also explained that you can’t look only at the fold itself, because if the surrounding cheeks descend, the folds look deeper too, so you need to assess them together. That was when I thought, ‘Ah, that’s why my lower face kept looking so stuffy.’ lol The incision is about 1 to 2 cm inside the hairline? I usually don’t tie my hair up, so it didn’t bother me much, and even if I do tie it, it’s not very visible lol Of course, in the early days after surgery, my face was swollen, so there was a split second where I looked in the mirror and thought, did I do this for nothing...? lololol But about a week later, after the stitches came out, the swelling started going down little by little, and I began to look like a person again lolol What I like most right now is that the deep cheek fat that used to stick out beside my mouth is much less noticeable than before. The whole lower face also looks less heavy, and my jawline looks cleaner than before, so the difference is easier to notice in front-facing photos. The folds themselves are not completely gone, but now that the cheeks that were pressing downward have been organized, they don’t seem to catch my eye as deeply as before haha I didn’t want that super-tight, obviously pulled look, and right now it feels like only the parts of my original face that looked saggy have been slightly tidied up, which is what I’m most satisfied with. I still think there’s some residual swelling, so I’m not treating this as my final look yet, and I plan to keep watching it. Still, since my eyes don’t go straight to the bulldog jowls anymore like before, I don’t regret having the surgery so far lol Once the remaining swelling goes down more and the line becomes more natural, I’ll come back with another review then haha
