After lateral canthoplasty, all the tissue in the outer corner was exposed and the shape looked strange too. I had seen a lot of failed reviews about lateral canthoplasty restoration, so I spent several months going around to consultations. In the end, every hospital had some failed reviews, so among the ones that were not too severe, I found a director whose preferred shape was similar to what I wanted. If the outer corner was closed up, I thought my eyes were not on the long side, so they would look extremely small. The director said everyone feels burdened by their eyes getting smaller, and recommended doing it together with lower canthoplasty. Honestly, I disliked the characteristic unnatural look of lower canthoplasty, so I was not going to do it, but during the consultation, I saw progress photos and videos of lateral canthoplasty restoration + lower canthoplasty and got persuaded lol In the beginning after surgery, the lower canthoplasty looked way too obvious and I thought it was botched, so I asked them to release it, but they said it would become natural after the recovery period, so I trusted them and waited.. After a lot of time passed following the lateral canthoplasty restoration, it naturally lifted back up. My eyes did get slightly smaller, but not by much. The outer corner shape also settled neatly, so I’m satisfied.
